This is the total redesign of a one-story ranch style home with a typical undefined character. The young couple wanted a substantial expansion, by keeping the existing house footprint, but adding a full second story for their future growing family and a wraparound porch to the maximum extent possible.
The homeowners expressed their fascination with the Craftsman style which is expressed primarily on the exterior. The interior, which has the amenities to satisfy contemporary living needs, has some affinity with the craftsman style with the use of richly textured wood floors, and patterned accent wood panels on the walls.
